dance4everyone has a team of dedicated dance professionals providing a range of educational and recreational programmes in the wider Auckland area.

Allie Fitzgerald – Senior Dance Specialist

Allie Fitzgerald established dance4everyone in 2004 to enable people with special learning and sensory needs to experience the benefits and wonders of dance. Allie has a Bachelor of Dance degree from AUT, has undertaken post-graduate study in Dance Movement Therapy in Canada, is a registered teacher with the New Zealand Association of Modern Dance, and is also a qualified Pilates mat instructor.

Rebecca Solomon – Dance Specialist

Rebecca Solomon is a graduate from Unitec School of Performing Arts. Trained predominantly in Contemporary Dance, Rebecca has performed in Tempo Dance Festival 08 and 09. Rebecca is currently enjoying being mentored by Senior Dance Specialist Allie Carter in teaching Creative Dance for people with disabilities. Inspired by the learning, she has now gone on to study a Post Graduate Diploma in Special Education. Rebecca loves being a part of dance4everyone and is looking forward to having many more amazing experiences.

Natalie Dowd - Recreational Dance

Natalie studied piano from a young age and began dancing aged 12. She qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1986. Four sons took most of her attention throughout her twenties and thirties, and she returned to dance gained her Bachelor of Dance in 2008 from AUT. She has since gone on to become a dance reviewer, choreographer, and freelance dance teacher with a strong interest in mixed abilities dance. Creativity, ideas and ability to have fun in class are the particular strengths she brings to dance4everyone.

Jenny Sharp – Recreational Dance

Jenny trained extensively with the Van Zon School of Creative Dance from a young age and is experienced in many genres including contemporary, creative, and jazz dance. Through her teaching experience she has worked with various age groups and ability levels. For the past 10 years she has contributed her choreographic and teaching skills working in a secondary school dance department. Jenny’s passion for teaching creative dance and movement is highly valued in our recreational classes. She is a dynamic, intuitive and nurturing member of the dance4everyone team.
